No fixed office location – Contractors may work from home when not on appointments.

Must have a secure space for handling and storing sensitive documents.

Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Uptown Notary & Signing Co. in public settings.

About the Role

Facilitate loan document signings for real estate transactions, ensuring all documents are executed accurately and returned promptly to the title or escrow company.

Key Responsibilities:

Print and prepare loan documents for signings

Confirm signer identity and explain document purpose without providing legal advice

Guide signers through loan packages, ensuring all signatures and initials are complete

Return completed documents promptly to the contracting company

Meet lender and title deadlines while safeguarding sensitive information

Requirements:

Active Texas Notary Commission

NNA Loan Signing Agent Certification preferred

E&O insurance required (minimum $25,000 recommended)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Current State of Texas Notary Public commission (for notary-related positions)

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Smartphone with email access, scanning/photo capability, and GPS

  • Ability to travel locally within assigned service areas

  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, and strong communication skills

  • Access to a laptop or tablet for document handling (where applicable)

  • Commitment to accuracy and confidentiality

  • Willingness to work evenings/weekends when needed (based on client needs)

  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred (but not required):

  • National Notary Association (NNA) Certification & Background Screening (for NSAs)

  • E&O insurance coverage (varies by role)

  • Prior customer service or client-facing experience

  • Experience handling sensitive documents or working under compliance standards
